Welcome to Elkview Estates!


Castlegar’s newest subdivision in highly coveted Ootischenia. Located on Columbia Rd & Ootishenia road near the West Kootenay Regional airport & Castlegar Golf Course.

Elkview Estates has been created on a 22 acre bundling of parcels owned by the Moorey family in Ootischenia. 1391 Columbia Rd, 1375 Columbia Rd, 1405 Columbia Rd, and 370 Ootischenia Rd have been combined to make up the 22 acres. This subdivision is made up of 33 lots in total. In 2018 we have seen 6 lots sell and there are currently 26 lots remaining.

The Subdivision will have a dedicated paved road (Elkview Road) between Ootischenia & Columbia Rd with one paved cul de sac (Elkview Trail) . All services will be provided to the lot lines including underground Fortis Electricity and Ootischenia Improvement District community water. Telus & Shaw communication lines also to be at lot line including Telus/Shaw high speed internet. Fortis Natural Gas will be available shortly, along with the development of Phase 2.

Phase 1 is complete with 2 lots remaining for sale. Phase 2 construction is now completed with paving, landscaping, and survey stakes all done. Land title registration to be completed by year end to early January 2019.

Ootischenia has local bus service, garbage collection from Canadian Waste Management (Homeowners expense not through taxation), flat level ground for easy development, and great sun exposure in the valley. Minutes away from the city but close enough that running to town for last minute items is very convenient.
